Consistent start 20:42 - Oct 1 with 624 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Apologies if done and I have missed it, but I wonder what the most matches at the start of any season in which we have had identical results is. I would guess we have never had 3 identical results on the trot to start before. Who is predicting another 2-0 on Saturday?

I had a look earlier at clean sheet records from the start of the season and, unless I drifted off while looking at 80-odd seasons, we previously had four successive clean sheets most recently in 1977/78 when we won two and drew two. We won four league games in a row without conceding at the beginning of a campaign for the only time in the 1974/75 Division One season.

I am enjoying watching us at the moment and that is something. I am not sure how enjoyable we were to watch even when we went top last season. Football is meant to be entertainment and it has not been much of that for a Town fan for far too long now.

Last season, right up to the international break, I was reet smug and my Bristol Rovers friends were reluctantly conceding that we were walking it. This year it's serious, absolutely no chicken counting until they've hatched. If playing to empty stadiums means the players can concentrate on the football and not the crowd then great. I'm nervous and fearful when I watch Town and entertainment only comes from the relief I feel when the ball is in the opponents half. My finger nails are always short.
