Highest paid manager in the league 16:59 - Oct 3 with 3885 views | Bluefish | Isn't capable of making any tactical changes to get us in the game. He has watched Gwion for 55 minutes and decided that he is worth keeping on for the rest of the game. Not sure if we are allowed to point out the problems in the team today? Apparently we can't after wins so no idea after draws. The issues are the same as the opening games and the same as last season. It was an abysmal performance going forwards.

Highest paid manager in the league on 19:57 - Oct 3 by TheTrueBlue1878 | What are the failings this year? |
The transition from midfield to attack mainly, much like last year. We still look like 11 players on a pitch and too happy to play the game in deep midfield. You cannot name our style still.

Come on that is nonsense, it just sounds like you’ve just read that out of a FourFourTwo magazine and copied it down. We have certainly tried to move towards a more possession/patient approach, predominately down the wider areas, that’s not ground breaking I know, nor is it reinventing the wheel but it has been effective for us this season to date.

1 shot on target and non threatening. 3 shots in total. I'm not a fan of stats but they back up the performance

The performance wasn’t good enough today, has anyone stated otherwise? But that doesn’t assess the wider picture of the start to the season we’ve had. 4 games, 3 wins, 3 clean sheets, 7 scored, 1 conceded and unbeaten. I’m not a big fan of stats but they back up the start to the season we’ve had. [Post edited 3 Oct 2020 20:23]

But the issues today have still been there in the wins, see my previous posts. It isnt something new or something that changes. We cannot just ignore it if we win and then wonder what happened when we lose, we did that last season

I think unfortunately it’s more of a case of you are seeing what you want to see in order to fit your agenda, and that’s a shame that your follow Ipswich like that. Goodnight

My goodness I have never known such a gifted football coach in my life you know absolutely everything and have all the answers. Why have you not banged down the chairman’s door with your undoubted ability and applied for the top job. BTW where have your managed before other than on here or in your own mind I would be interested to know ? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

To be fair it's completely understandable why patience towards Lambert may be limited from sone, to say the least. There's no other way of putting this - he completely screwed up last season.

Agreed but to listen to the trash he writes I am interested in his footballing credentials as they must be outstanding as he has all the answers. Unlike me as a bang average weekend footballer I am always happy to listen to experts and BF clearly fits this profile.

Highest paid manager in the league on 18:05 - Oct 3 by Bluefish | It was unanimously accepted in the media that he is and that the report is accurate but you clearly refuse to accept it |
I don't refuse to accept it, I simply asked for evidence to back up your assertion. I pointed out where your evidence is lacking. Feel free to link any of the media that are widely reporting he is currently the highest paid manager in League 1 and I will look at whether they appear to be purely speculating or basing it on evidence. Alternatively, feel free to link company accounts showing what we, Hull, Charlton, Sunderland, etc pay our managers if it is clearly listed. As I say, he may well be the best paid. We may well have the highest paid squad. I just think we should be careful not to make assumptions. We certainly ought to be in the automatic promotion places at the end of the season.
