Tomorrow's line up 10:11 - Oct 5 with 3237 viewsWallingford_Boy

This could be a tough one to call!

Assume the two new signings will get some much needed game time and obviously Cornell in goal, but other than those three, pretty tough to predict.

I'll go -

Cornell
Donacien Woolfie McGuiness Kenlock
Huws McGavin Dobra
Lankester Folami Bennetts

RIP Sir Bobby

Elkan Baggott (centre back) is starting. Def info. It's a really young squad tonight.

Indeed, think we may actually end up having to pay the fine on this occasion. Looking at the senior players who might be risked, I'm not sure there are enough of them to cover the four qualifying players rule.

I am definitely going to wait and see the line up before deciding whether to shell out a tenner to watch the match.

Poll: What was in Wes Burns' imaginary cup of tea ?

Might be more interesting if it is all kids. Really can't get interested in the EFL Trophy at all.

As I have said before, the only reason that we initially got to enter it was by failure-relegation.

The only reason we are in it again this season is because of the failure to get promotion.

I did not go to the games in this 'competition' last season and would not have gone to any this season so I am certainly not paying out £10 for a nothing match in a nothing competition.

I do not consider these games to be first team games.

You might gather that I do not think much of the EFL Trophy.

He is, as are Kai Brown and Clements at Dagenham and Redbridge.

Forgot about Wright! Didn’t know about Clements and Brown; somehow missed that.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

I've paid my tenner for this as it's a chance to watch the Town ( not had a chance on a Saturday yet due to hockey commitments when Town are playing ) I went to the Exeter game at the start of the year mainly to tick off Exeter from the list and of course Lee Martin scored as is the law.

It's not even a chance for us to go to Wembley at the moment as I doubt we'll be allowed any fans anyway.

Think it was on a busy Friday when press conference stories were coming thick and fast!

Me neither, it's just a pain in the neck. Not least as I'll have to go to Crawley for the final match in the group which may well mean nothing at all and be a reserves game.

Surely Phil we have senior players who need minutes?

I fully agree not risking any of the first 11, but if likes of Dobra, Jackson, Huws don't play tonight then what is the point? They need match fitness, Cornell in GK as well.

Cornell will definitely play - Holy will be rested, Przybek and Wright are on loan and White is playing this afternoon - and I would guess Huws, Donacien, Dobra and Lankester will as well, despite what Lambert said about not risking senior players. Agree with you, can't see why he wouldn't use the game to give the likes of Jackson some minutes, however, he said he wouldn't on Saturday.

Having just seen your story on the under twenty three it actually might be worth watching to see how Ndaba, Folami, McGavin and the other five who were not involved this afternoon perform. I guess they all have a chance of first team action this season one way or another so it would give some insight on what to expect later in the year.

Of course Gillingham may not put out much of a team either so that could make judgement more tricky.

[edit] by the way it looks like you cut and pasted most of the article from 13:10 into the one at 14:55 but left the (pictured above) for Folami in when there was also a (pictured above) for a different player on the latter article...
