Sounded like Dobra, Ndaba and Baggott all did well.

Did I hear Cornell make a decent save? Did he have anything else to do? Nice that Woolfenden and Lankester got 90 minutes under their belts too. How did Simpson do? Didn't heat much of him but have been impressed when I saw him before.

Cornell did make a decent save, but otherwise had nothing to do.

Thought Simpson did pretty well considering he was being fouled consistently and not getting anything for it.

Dobra was the obvious standout though.

No one massively, Gillingham were horrendous. Kids carried themselves ever so well, and can be very proud of themselves, but no one really stood out to the degree that they should banging down the door for first team opportunities.

Ndaba more comfortable at left back than Kenlock for me. Dobra sprinkles talent but currently lacks consistency, Baggott did well but not really tested.

Thought Woolfenden was a little poor/sloppy which worried me.

If Gills were horrendous, I'm not sure Ndaba can be judged on that performance v Kenlock.

Folami’s run for the goal deserves more praise lost the marker and timed it perfectly for a tap in.

It's not hard to look better on the ball than Kenlock, regardless of opposition

I thought Baggott, McGavin and Dobra were probably the pick.

Lankester and Woolfy perhaps victims of the standards we've come to expect of them. Both put in good shifts and looked comfortable against mediocre opposition, but no surprise there.

I’ve seen enough of Kenlock to be judged though...

There were a couple of stand outs but what I liked was that they looked good as a unit - yes, it took some time to get some real penetration behind the Gillingham defence but considering this was basically a U23 side, they more than held their own against what is normally a solid L1 team...

Just one small problem; sell their houses to who, Ben? Fcking Aquaman?

Absolutely, pointed to where he wanted it and then some great movement to pull behind then go in front of his man.

Really good movement.

I think we also have to remember that Gillingham had their second XI out and keep things in perspective. Encouraging displays by some of our young players and a good experience nevertheless

That's good because it isn't long since he was subbed off not long after coming on is it?

I feel next year will be his breakout year to be honest.

By the start of 21-22 season :

Downes could be gone

Dozzell May have left on a free

Skuse contract expired

Huws contract expired

This year I suspect a little more limited opportunities.

Tottenham away. Although believe McGavin was aware prior he would be playing 15 if things go as planned, it was to allow Jon Nolan to come back in to the fold as hadn’t featured in pre season prior.

Played well McGavin, very well indeed.
