Problem is if we do have one, then we will need another and another and another. Fact is the virus speeds by people interacting and mixing - unless that stops then the infections will keep rising. We cannot keep everyone going to school, university and work (let alone pubs) if we want to keep the infection rates down. That has consequences as we all know in wider areas but what can we do. Gov need to sort the testing out as it is a shambles, same as the contact tracing. Half of my business can (and are) working from home, the other half have to go out to customers sites to work so unless we have to shutdown that will not stop. |  | |  |

All the evidence we have to date suggests the best way to minimise speed is good track and trace and early, effective lockdown. We did, and waited too long with the former. |  |
