Judge is no surprise at all as he's been itching to get the statless messiah back in, but surely Sears or Jackson would have been a more logical choice for a 4-3-3? [Post edited 10 Oct 2020 14:07]

I know he's looked a bit lost sometimes but that's a hell of a typo. I don't understand how you put Judge in this team and not as the advanced CM. Let Dozzell sit and Huws link between them then at least he can do what Bishop does.

Given we've not seen Bennetts, Sears is the one winger out of that lot you'd put in front of Kenlock so it is strange to say the least. Especially as the substitution didn't work against MK Dons, so to see it repeated here means we need to see something different in that portion of the pitch.

As I said, post-edit, if you was to keep playing 4-3-3, surely Sears, Jackson or even Dobra are the way to go? Judge adds nothing playing wide. He rarely adds much centrally, FFS.

Judge is Lambert's Douglas. A ponderous encumbrance who inexplicably keeps getting games.

Unless Huws is going to push wider when the space allows but that will be weird given Judge floats in from the touch line.

I don’t rate Judge at all, but Sears has been poor.

When? He was unlucky to put one past the post I thought in a game where the whole team were bad. Before that he has helped create plenty of goals etc. Think it's harsh to say he deserves to be dropped when Edwards has consistently lost possession when a chance to score is on more than once a game so far.

....he's always been much more of a goal threat than Judge has. That team is totally bereft of pace. If you are going to drop Sears than at least put Jackson in. If he's fit enough for the bench, he's fit enough to start.

Kenlock and Georgiou looked good in that one half against an admittedly poor Wimbledon where they wlloed each other to overlap. As I said in the week the idea that we can bring on 3 attacking players with pace after an hour or so might be enough to overwhelm any team. All depends how the game is set up.

And frankly he offers far, far more in terms of workrate, covering and maintaining shape than Judge ever has.

The only logic I can see in it is that Edwards will play on the left to give Kenlock a bit of protection. Edwards gets up and down well and can defend a bit given he's played as a wing back a fair bit. That said, Judge is next to no use out on the right and leaves Chambers exposed. I just don't understand that selection to be honest. This isn't a 4-3-3, we've not picked any wide forwards.

Not even Lambert is incompetent enough to play Judge doubly out of position both wide AND on the right side, is he?

In all fairness, Holy is more of a goal threat than Judge, most games. (n/t) on 15:06 - Oct 10 with 566 views | BlueBadger |

It seems he is. We have the same issue as last week at the moment. Only just started of course so time to change but Edwards and Judge far too deep to support Hawkins. SB

I was chuffed to see Judge and Edwards on the correct flanks, but Judge now seems to be constantly 10 yards off Garbutt and chasing shadows

We've played zero football in the opening 10 minutes. We look very disjointed.
