Team for Accrington 09:36 - Oct 13 with 3434 views | Wallingford_Boy | This is what I'd like to see , assuming Ward is back - Holy Chambers Nsiala Woolfenden Ward Bishop Dozzell Nolan Bennetts Hawkins Edwards But I imagine Ward will still be out, he'll stick with Wilson and Bennetts will only be on bench. Some wil want Jackson to start, I don't. Hawkins offers a lot more.

Totally Agree, on one hand we have fans who have moaned about the constant chopping and changing, yet we go on a 5 game unbeaten run and they want to change it. Odd

Talk to me more. Why odd? You like Wilson over Woolfie? Bennetts could be just what this team needs, a real livewire, or would you rather Sears or Judge? And you know this board drools over Jackson!!

Because the alternative is Freddie or Judge (I'd rather Lankester than those two, but PL won't rush him back). I think Bennetts is the spark we need in the final third.

Not that odd really. TBF Wilson has done a good job, but we have played the weakest sides in the division so far, so no great test. Just think Woolfie suits our style better, a ball player. Just my opinion. For me, you wanting Wilson to start is odd when Woolfie is on the bench.

Agreed. I'd like to see Bennetts starting, along with Woolfie, but he won't want to change a winning side.

Think he was mainly referring to the Jackson point, which didn't seem to have any foundation.

Read a few posts on here lately from some saying Jackson should start (prior to the Blackpool game). I just find it odd. Hawkins has done really well since coming into the team and offers so much more than Jackson does. Other than pace, what does he bring to the team?

Clearly Woolfie is a better player, but Wilson has been part of a defence that has conceded 2 goals in 5 games, it would be incredibly harsh to drop him given we have all been saying lets have a settled side for once. Also, Toto has been playing really well and is starting to show a solid partnership with Wilson, why would we break that up and give ourselves potentially unnecessary issues? Were they suggesting he should start in a 4-3-3 ahead of Hawkins? Or were they suggesting he could play in a wide role? I dont think Ive seen anyone suggest that Jackson is the man to play down the middle of a 3 in place of Hawkins.

Team for Accrington on 10:49 - Oct 13 with 2695 views | Bluefish | Seems reasonable I would swap Wilson for Woolfenden definitely. People can say he hasn't done a lot wrong but Woolfenden is a definite upgrade and needs to be brought back in. Ward if fit definitely Nolan has done well and Huws was sloppy but I would persist with Huws for now for size size and the midfield balance Bennett possibly, again adds good size and looks really direct so hopefully good things to come. For now I would start Lankester there though. Started in u23 game and withdrawn earlier so should be OK hopefully. Edwards has to play for now, hopefully he can have another good game despite being the worst footballer to have ever lived No other real decisions to make [Post edited 13 Oct 2020 10:54]

Wilson hasn’t done anything wrong, would be unfair to drop him. He hasn’t really put a foot wrong for us since signing. Can’t really change a winning side. Woolfenden just unlucky to pick up an injury. Bennetts doesn’t deserve a start yet. Haven’t seen anyone suggest Jackson should start yet, didn’t do anything on Saturday really. Didn’t even look interested. Ward in for Kenlock only change I’d make.

I don't always go with the "can't change a winning side" thought, especially if (arguably) superior players are now available. So Ward/Woolfie definitely back in for me. Appreciate Bennetts is unlikely to start, I'm just not a huge Sears/Judge fan, think Bennetts COULD be one to excite us. A few were backing Jackson for a return last week, but not for me.

Agreed. Wilson was very ordinary last season but this season seems to have got better esp with Toto so I don't see any justification for changing a winning team apart from Wrard, if fit. We've got two games a week coming up so plenty of opportunities for Bennetts and Woolfy etc to be given a chance whether off the bench or in starting line ups. I would give Bennetts a go at RW as not been impressed by Sears or Judge lately. Too early for Lankaster so would keep him on the bench.

Because the game might be harder? Not sure it isnmuch of an upgrade though compared to woolf for Wilson
