I am beginning to thin Boris is a more affiable Trump. 17:48 - Oct 15 with 1806 viewsMercian

At least Trump does not try to hide that he is a total and utter (add expletive here) . Johnson pays lip service that he represents us all but that is total bullcrap. He targets areas and people that do not vote for him. The fact he is less offensive than Trump does not make him any better.

Did you miss all those times where he was either openly racist, homophobic and courted the votes and assistance of extremists?

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Ithink Trump's worse. You can see a haunted look in Boris' eyes that suggests the way he's behaving causes him some pain. He's still a serial liar and a cheat though. The one to watch out for is Gove. A snivelly little sh*t weasel if ever there was one. He'd sell his own mother to get what he wants.

It's only been known since he was MoL, an MP and running for PM.

He is a vicious scumbag who puts on an act only the terminally thick would fall for after a second glance. At least Thatcher made no pretence of being evil and selfish, and engendering that mindset amongst her support.

They will talk about Boris for thousands of years, in the same way we do of Nero, Cromwell or Mugabe et al. The only hope is that his wrecking of this nation will ensure we never let these bastards do it again, but that won't happen there are too many too stubborn or blinkered.

Just look at how many people base their beliefs and responses around Corona around some sort of "It hasn't happened to me so it's not that bad" type nonsense.

Judge him on his actions and results. Trump is rightly vilified on his COVID response yet our per capita figures are on par with The USA. With the nation facing economic ruin he is pushing a Brexit as hard as possible because it is more important to him. In 100 years time this pandemic will be a footnote but Boris will, or wants to be remembered as the man who delivered Brexit. He sees himself on par with George Washington or Winston Churchill, a man who oversaw a turning point in history. He gives not a toss for the rest of us. A less offensive Trump.

Yes, Thatcher was genuine. A bad genuine, but genuine nonetheless. Everything about Boris is fake. Bottom line is that he's a coward. Everything else stems from that. He lies and hides to avoid being challenged.

This was all known and pointed out before the election last year. People who've managed him or worked closely with him (who weren't trying to get a job in his party) were queuing up to say he was totally unsuited to the position. We knew and yet people didn't care, bought the bull and still voted him in. Now they're paying the price and I hope the ****ers think it's worth it. Because it's not worth it for the rest of us. Grrr.

I don't disagree with any of that. For reasons both the same (populist division, xenophobia, attack on the institutions of democracy, truth twisting and racism) and different (Brexit in our case, trade wars in Trump's) they are both awful. Truly awful. I didn't think we'd sink any lower than May, but his is a whole different league.
