Thinking of getting a laptop soon as mine is pretty old and has a few issues.

Been looking around but I believe most reviewers could find fault in a £10k machine.

I'm looking around £1-1.5k.

I want it to have
- Windows OS
- 16gb memory
- In built webcam

I'd like it to have
- good cooling system
- no number pad
- metal build
- something that will last

Usage
- My work applications require 8gb memory for applications, but I feel like 16gb would give a better performance
- My personal uses include moderate gaming - eg Fall Guys, rather that a CPU sapping shooting game.
- I'd use it for travelling when work picks up again, so I play films on it from time to time and then normal useage.

I don't want
- A Mac or chromebook as applications I use are sub-optimal on them.
- Something cumbersome/heavy

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I had a play around. The main thing I realised is that I'm completely out of my depth, ha ha. But I'll spend more time looking at that tomorrow

I have just got a second hand Toshiba Kira, it is very good, I looked at this website for a few ideas as well

I didn't use them in the end but worth a look.

I would advise a SSD drive.
I'm sure this has become the standard on most models now but it's worth checking.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?
