As so many of you are rattled by my opinions 10:11 - Oct 18 with 4531 views | Bluefish | I'll try some questions to break it down. Is Edwards good at controlling the ball or close control dribbling? How does he compare to other players? Is he particularly good at passing? Is PRP repeating mistakes and getting it wrong still? Is Edwards much better on the left than right? Did he start him on the right and then move him back to the right again later in the game? Would Woolfenden improve our team? Why is he waiting until we lose to improve us? Why did we sign mcguiness if he isn't going to start? Some concerns on the midfield 3 still but will wait and see on that Don't forget if you can't answer just post about look at me, do listing or general abuse Cheers Lambert out

I may be wrong of course, cos unlike Fishers I am NOT always right. About anything. Except booze, food, politics, science, philosophy, music, films, books, history, people, etc. |
Absolutely, no imaginary red card waving from me. I love the fact people think I am bothered by it all and that they will get to me by replying with nonsense abuse. I was brought up in the old school days of twtd when it was a free for all

I don’t see Fishers as a bother at all. Sometimes he posts stuff I agree with. Sometimes he doesn’t. He also watches us a hell of a lot more than I do. We all see the game in different ways. For a measured opinion I usually look for Joe or PJH. Texters is good for a passionate opinion, wearing his heart on his sleeve. Fishers makes good points in some of his observations. I certainly don’t disagree with him about Lambert not being the man for the job. We have a manager who is learning on the job at the moment. Who had to be told by the owner not to keep messing around with systems and personnel. Which wouldn’t be much of an issue if it were somebody who was in their first season of the first job. But, Lambert was told to stop messing around at Villa. He’s had to be told here. He’s not an inexperienced manager. Yet he seems to make decisions like one.

You are a top lad newcers. These lot are too far gone to see it. They get too invested in me posting and have to oppose it. They never seem to quite be able to explain why I'm wrong but they must say that I'm wrong. They then say they won't reply again but then they do it all again the next time I post. None of it is particularly controversial and none of it has been like the abuse many of them used to post about mick or Spence

You're being very harsh buh. I said the other day that he's a bit meh and flattered to deceive a lot last couple of seasons. But he's not going to control balls like the one from Chambers every single time, cos then he'd be sold for loads of cash innit. He's not the most consistent player in terms of his control but he's doing more good than bad this season. A few weeks ago I'd roll my eyes a little at his name always on the team sheet but even then not disagree with it cos even when he does have a bad game with his close control, he tended to pop up with an assist or a goal. And at the moment he's doing this a couple of times every game. I get why he gets a bit of flak from some quarters cos we want of course him to be more consistent. Similar reactions to Judge, cos we expect him to do more. However he does a lot of work and is far from being sh1t, or irrelevant to the team.

It seems to me though that the fact that clips of Edwards controlling a football are being mentioned now is because they have been so rare in the past. He is playing well at the moment, although I do not see how the hell he got considered for MOTM yesterday, but (in part) it is getting noticed because he so very rarely played well in the past. We wait to see if and how long this new trick of controlling a football lasts.

I don't think we have to deny it at all. I do think I have to actually see some evidence of it, though. Of course he doesn't control every pass he receives like a top Brazilian midfielder of the 80s. He is a League 1 footballer (and an excellent one at that). You just seem to see something that isn't there and fail to see what clearly is. Let's put it this way, if he fails to control 3/4 of the balls he receives, that means the rest of his game is good enough for him to score 4x as many goals as he currently is. He is clearly a player with massive potential if he is a midfield player who could develop to score 24 goals a season in the Championship.

We all saw what happened last year and we could go the same way again. It’s possible. Especially if we don’t get our strikers fit. But until then it is pretty much madness to suggest that a guy who has got us to the top of the table, got us scoring goals, not conceding many, playing a consistent team, playing a consistent fairly attractive style and won manager of the month, should be sacked. That’s the answer to the question that somehow you don’t think you are getting lol !,

As so many of you are rattled by my opinions on 14:34 - Oct 18 with 2067 views | TheTrueBlue1878 | 1. Edwards can be good and bad, last week his touch and dribbling was outstanding. Yesterday first half poor, yesterday second half good. He’s a league 1 footballer, in a league 1 side, what are you expecting, he’s producing moments that are winning us games. 2. Lambert is not making the same mistakes no, what are these mistakes he is repeating? 3. Woolfenden won’t improve us right now no, Nsiala and Wilson have been rock solid (who’s of thought that a year ago). You’re clutching right now.

As so many of you are rattled by my opinions on 12:55 - Oct 18 by NewcyBlue | Nah, Fishers is a decent bloke. I’ve never understood the bile spat his way. |
It's not "bile" (that I've seen anyway) - it's the sheer boredom with him taking up what feels like half the home page of the forum with his multiple anti-Lambert & negativity towards the current squad threads, esp on match days - and esp when we've actually won, and most ppl are celebrating. You can't even hide them unless you're logged in. Lor knows most people have enough to contend with right now without having our 2 hours of escapism & joy from a win trampled on by BF's hobnailed boots as tho he's pressing sour grapes in a bath of vinegar.
