Two tests, two fails... 17:04 - Oct 24 with 473 viewspointofblue

Mid table beckoning once again? We might be able to get a win against Gillingham in midweek but when we run into anyone half decent we can’t pick up one point, let alone three.

Mid table if we stick with Lambert. Top six if we get a competent manager in.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Absolutely.. nail on head. But would you trust Evan's to make a decent appointment?

Of course mid table beckons. The story of last season is simply continuing this.

His hit rate isn't great is it. I'd be inclined to ping and email to Paul Jewell and say 'you did a terrible job but the bloke you recommended turned out pretty handy. Who do you recommend this time?'

Lambert isn't a good enough coach to get the team playing better than the sum of their parts. He's not a good enough tactician to make the difference in tight games or to come up with a plan that takes us past these teams. Every time we meet a team with players approximately as good as ours, we find a way to lose.

Beating the rest might be enough to stay around the top 6, but Lambert's bringing very little to the party.

Agreed - but not just Lambert his asst and first team coach have no pedigree and clearly aren't good enough either
