Team v Crewe? 23:40 - Oct 27 with 1054 views | pointofblue | I’d probably just go with Huws for Sears but otherwise keep the same eleven who started tonight; move Lankester to wide right and Edwards wide left. That centre forward position is becoming a pain and would quite like to see Jackson given a chance there when fit and available; Hawkins’ impact seems to be declining by the match, sadly.

I really like our fullbacks, and Woolfy + Wilson / McGuinness should be the preferred partnership centrally. Bishop & Dozzell have to start. Ideally it would be with Downes as that trio of academy graduates has a lovely mix to it for me. We'll have to wait for that though. Personally I would be tempted to opt for Judge ahead of Huws in the middle if he's fit. Would quite like to see him doing the donkey work, and let Dozzell do the playing. Wintle is a very decent player for Crewe in the middle, I think we need that bit of 'industry' in the centre to stop him playing. Edwards / Lankester left & right respectively is our strongest option in the wide areas IMO. Would like to see Jackson back on the bench at least. Hawkins is putting himself about and doing the unsexy stuff up there but he doesn't look to carry much goal threat. Jackson's certainly not best suited to that lone central role but he's got enough credit in the bank to be given the opportunity IMO. The irony is now we have a proper target man in Hawkins, I think Jackson would flourish playing off him in a 2. Not that I think we should change the system now, but it's definitely an option to bare in mind. Jackson has serious pace and I think in time he has to be starting.

I know PL has said he doesn't think Jackson is suited to a wide role but i would like to see him given a chance in place of Freddie when fully fit .
Team v Crewe? on 11:15 - Oct 28 with 747 views | Mullet | Holy Chambers Woolfenden Wilson Ward Bishop Dozzell Huws Bennetts Hawkins Edwards I think it was always going to be borrowed time for two stoppers like Wilson and Toto but I thought last night showed that the two young lads probably concede too many chances/territory when played together. Given they made Akinde look like Stan Collymore a couple of times we need a best of both from the two partnerships. Time for Bennetts to get a start and use Lankester and Dobra off the bench. We should be dominating teams like Gillingham and Crewe and hurting them. Being able to change it when the game is late on and put them under further pressure would help restore some confidence.

He also won a good amount of freekicks. Ultimately his job is to hold the ball up and get the likes of Bishop, Lankester, Edwards, Sears around him, which he has been doing to decent effect. Its a vital role to make sure the ball sticks up there, but really you need your centre forward scoring as well. He's been unlucky with 1 or 2, and nearly put one on a plate for Edwards 2nd half (maybe a pen?). He does need to start chipping in with goals if he's going to be that complete centre forward at this level, but he's never been prolific. That's probably why he's here, and not at a Cardiff.

Team v Crewe? on 19:46 - Oct 28 with 597 views | RobTheMonk | Sears did a good job of playing himself out of the starting lineup. You'd think the back 4 would stay the same with Huws or Nolan coming back in.
