Never thought we’d see it when we play so badly two games running, but run out 1-0 winners each time. Think Holy had his best game for a while and probably earned us the win.
Judge totally unbalances us. IF we are going to play him we need to adjust the other 6 or so players around him as we are too rigid to make that sort of dropping off work.
As lovely as Crewe looked we did everything to showcase their neat and tidiness. Mandron up top is someone we should know how to handle, but letting the midfield play and feed their wingers so much, thought Edwards saved us by tracking back early in the second half and cutting out their play.
Credit where it’s due though that short corner routine for us to win it was excellent. That’s possibly the difference, we can play badly and let teams wear theirselves out and still have the depth to snatch games and see them out. |  |

We are top and not playing that well.
Unfortunately that is too reminiscent of last season for me.
Beat Sunderland on Tuesday and perhaps the ghosts are laid to rest but I can't see us winning that at the moment. |  |

I'd be interested to know how close judge was to being offside from the corner
The overall performance was poor, I keep repeating this but youncant have the wide forwards playing on the touchlines. The hoofball was terrible 1st half

Time to move on from Sears and Judge. Blood those younger players, give them the trust and confidence with regular selection. Both these players just aren't what they once were, we've got better options on the bench that would benefit the team and inject some much needed pace, energy and enthusiasm in the side.
