I actually would love to watch that game back and look at the following:
How many fouls do their players (which players) make on Lankester especially before the referee starts to give them warnings about them?
How many times does he warn the same player for these persistent fouls and still not book them?
How many strong challenges does McGuinness make without the referee giving anything against him?
What is the referee's reaction to the first foul from Nsiala?
How many decisions does Dozzell get from the referee?
What is different about Dozzell's challenge than all those the referee lets go?
The referee then gives the penalty from Nsiala's clearance.
Am I making too much of it to ask what the difference is between Nsiala and Dozzell and those other players? | |

I think the club should sack Lambert and, in the press release, say the Sunderland defeat is to blame and if it is deemed the referee was instrumental in the result then maybe he needs to take a look at himself. | |

It's League One, what are we expecting - the standard of refereeing has always been beyond the joke at this level.
We decided to sell our Championship players and bring in League One/Two and Conference players, we find ourselves playing at such an a low level of English football because that was the level we sought to be by the managerial appointment we made and the players we allowed him to sell/release and then sign as replacements. We can blame the referees all we like for these games, we were robbed, yes, but the buck for the mess is with Evans and Lambert who can have no qualms about the situation because they did everything to ensure we'd be in this league over the last 3 years.
If you want to play in leagues with better officiating, you have to be a club set up to play in those leagues. We are not. |  |
