There is something slowly happening in the pitch. It's slightly painful to watch. But it is actually quite different. And when it works it looks really promising. Reminds me of Colchester side. It's not there yet but there is something bubbling
This may be controversial. But Lambert. Give him time on 22:06 - Nov 3 by Herbivore
I'm really not seeing what you're seeing.
Thingers would say the same if we were bottom of the league. He has been relentless in his support for PRP from day 1. He interviewed him years ago and has been in awe of him ever since
Bishop is really starting to find his feet, Dozzell is starting to be more influencial and the back four in any guise look more organised than i've seen for a while.
Still lack 'something' and still lack consistency.
But signs of the right direction ...finally...is there enough appetite to see that develop though? No idea...remains to be seen.

Completely agree with the OP about the changes. It's much clearer what he's trying to do this year. The reason it looks awkward is that he doesn't have the players to quite pull it off.

I'm seeing green shoots.

I don't get the sense any nicer football is really down to coaching, it's down to having Bishop and Dozzell in the team. His hand has been forced on that a touch by the availability of other options. I'm still not seeing much to suggest that Lambert really knows how to get this system working. We've been poor as often as we've been decent this season.
Lambert doesn’t deserve time based on the previous couple of years, but this team does. It’s academic that he finally stumbled on a stable formation making good use of our younger players and playing to the squad’s strengths rather than exposing too many weaknesses.
We are where we are and let’s see where it takes us.
