...scoring a dubious penalty, against a previous Club, in an empty stadium, with a knee slide by the corner flag, then you are a c0ck! That is all.

Almost as much as when you roll around like you've been shot to help get a player sent off.

Yes. I'm amazed his legs didn't fall off attempting the knee slide after that!

He wasn't very good when he played for us and give he ended up playing in the third division as well I doubt he has else much to celebrate.

He could take a great corner though.

The only player I've seen who seemed to deliberately take daisy cutters. He could barely beat the edge of the box never mind the first man.

Apart from that I thought he was pretty decent for us. He got pelters on here but his class was obvious in a poorly functioning side.

Sorry can you be a bit more specific?

Which of 67 odd players who have played for Town in the last decade are you referring to?

The penalty was always going to be hit low. Holy should have worn a T-Shirt saying 'First Man' and it would probably have gone straight to him.

The irony of him clearing knee-high corners at the near post wasn't lost on me last night.

.....out of the window when Bennetts hit those last two corners last night.

It's basic stuff that we still can't get right.

I know it's horrible to say it but as he slid I was hopefully he would time it wrong and rearrange his cartilage and that was him out of football for a long time

From a buddy of mine who lives near Sunderland and off their board

Knee slides to the corner.
In an empty stadium
After scoring a penalty
Against 10 men

Cringe

You can't blame them..... us and them must be the two worst clubs in the country over the last few years (in terms of number losses), them even longer.
They used to lose every week in the Prem, before finally winning a handful of games in April to somehow stay up, then their luck ran out, and went straight through the Champ and are still struggling to get out of this division.

The only possible ones to challenge us and the Mackems would be Bolton and perhaps Southend - but even they were relatively stable for a while.

I nearly put my fist through the screen. Do it once, I can live with that, but 2 corners in the last minute like that? Unacceptable.

Bennetts needs to start a game, he’s trying way to hard to show what he’s got in 10 minutes. We definitely haven’t seen the best of him.
As well as the corners he had the long range shot when we still had players in the box to tee up.

My least favourite town player ever.

Awful captain. Walks out of the tunnel with his head bowed low.

Hits the shins of the first defender with his corners.

He’s a limited version of Skuse.

That annoyed me too. He's either trying to hard to impress or he's just very raw, or a bit of both.

It is hard to make an impact with 2 minutes here and 6 minutes there, I do sympathise with that. Wouldn't be adverse to him starting in the FA Cup and / or Mickey mouse trophy to see what impact he has.

I’m sure he’ll start, Huws too surely - both need minutes with what’s happening with injuries and bans.
