How did Jacko do yesterday? 09:44 - Nov 4 with 934 viewsWallingford_Boy

Didn't hear him mentioned in any of the Twitter feed action and even Lambert simply said "it was good for him to get minutes under his belt".

I'm not his biggest fan, but I would love him to come good and start firing some much needed goals in for us!

RIP Sir Bobby

As you'd have expected. Poor touch and poor passes most of the night without ever really being a threat.

Didn't watch it, but at a guess, completely isolated with zero service.

For the middle 30 minutes of the game, when we were well on top, I thought he looked good and added some necessary pace & aggression up there. A couple of mistimed passes when he could have played others in. But decent signs given he's barely played; we need him on song.

.....piece of work on the byline which resulted in a chance.

Everyone (apart from Shambert) knows that he can't play that role, if he is going to play he needs to play in a 2 up front or wide in a 3.

The lad needs some serious coaching. He needs to stop dropping short as he is dreadful with his back to goal. He should be sitting on the last man's shoulder constantly looking to work the channels and get in behind. Defenders hate pace - they'll take a physical battle all day long. The best strikers have a knack of getting into good positions, pockets of space etc. Unfortunately, Jackson doesn't seem to have this ability currently but then again if he did he wouldn't be playing for us.

Pretty much.

I didn't think he was too bad actually. Seems I could be on my own, and I'm not an advocate of him normally playing up top on his own, but I wasn't too disappointed.

He works tirelessy, he's lightning quick in behind, and even just putting the ball down the channel, making the defender put it into touch and us moving 60 yards up the pitch for a thrown helps us out.

Biggest change for me was playing with a natural number 10, Lankester was clearly in front of Bishop and Dozzell, and it just helped link the play a little better.

Thankless task for Jackson v 3 CB's last night, but I don't think he did too bad at all.

How first touch was shocking at times, noticably when with his back to goal. Maybe one can put that down to rustiness but who knows, it's always been a valid criticism of him.

When going the other he's useful and I was quite happy he played instead of Hawkins because he's not perfect himself. He just needs to make it stick more.

I felt with a few of our players last night they just needed to be a bit cleverer and instinctive with their final ball and sense where their team mate was. So often we had great little openings where the last pass wasn't the right one or it was executed properly.
