Seems to be getting stronger each game. Deceptive turn of pace when he effortlessly glides by people. Added goals too. The player we hoped to see five years ago but if he can keep fit he’ll be vital to us going up

Agree. We do have good midfield options, but its about connecting defence/midfield/attack effectively, and more importantly quickly, Bishop can do that efficently.

But needs help, can't rely on him solely.

Yeah he's class. I think when he's got Downes next to him offering a bit more protection he'll have even more licence to push on too. Shame we don't have anyone who can take a set piece as he's capable of winning 6+ freekicks per game in dangerous areas.

He seems to be faster with the ball than without, almost like Gazza in the way he just picks up speed and drifts around and through people

The biggest tragedy is that he should be in the Prem each week. He's not so much had the odd set back but the best of his career severely dented at least. Wouldn't be surprised to see January as the start of who we sell to and how much for.

A class act.... Shambert has got the instruments, but doesn't know how to get the best tune out of them.

That’s a really good description, he seems to magically accelerate with the ball.

Second in the table and Bishop with four goals to him name this season suggests otherwise.

Despite Shambert, not because of.

He shouldn't be here.
Shouldn't have had a 5.5 year contract.
Should have gone at the end of last season.

The enforced end to last season saved his job - he's probably the only person in the country (other than Boris' chums who are salting away a small fortune) who has benefitted from the coronavirus.

All this is true, but we know it already. What's the point in keep repeating it?

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Even if your second and third paragraphs are right, it doesn't make your first one right.

Despite him when we perform well and because of him when we don't. Is that genuinely it?

Teddy is, I suspect, performing well because he is a good player with a point to prove, playing at least one level below his ability rather than any kind of coaching from Lamebert.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
