New lockdown rules in England place restrictions on leaving the home without a reasonable excuse.
But Matt Hancock told MPs that seeking an assisted death abroad counted as a reasonable excuse.
He also stressed that it remains a criminal offence to encourage or assist the death of another person.

To that reads that's is ok you can travel abroad, but anyone helping you is committing an offence?

Most people travelling will have someone going with them

I know this is a big subject with potential ethical and moral issues but I'm not sure that's the most helpful comment

I don't think it's an offence to travel abroad with someone if going to Dignitas, for example, but it is an offence to assist someone in their own death in this country.
