New lockdown rules in England place restrictions on leaving the home without a reasonable excuse. But Matt Hancock told MPs that seeking an assisted death abroad counted as a reasonable excuse. He also stressed that it remains a criminal offence to encourage or assist the death of another person.
To that reads that's is ok you can travel abroad, but anyone helping you is committing an offence?

I know this is a big subject with potential ethical and moral issues but I'm not sure that's the most helpful comment
I don't think it's an offence to travel abroad with someone if going to Dignitas, for example, but it is an offence to assist someone in their own death in this country.
