I picked up a small group who had just arrived from UAE and somehow found themselves in Bury St Edmunds trying to hire a car to get to Tatershalls. Anyway, just showing up and telling the hire company how rich your boss is apparently doesn't allow then to lend you a vehicle, so they called a cab.
The were to there to bid on a horse (all that way to represent someone in person).
The sale had already started so they began the bidding on the drive there and were already into stupid money before I'd even got them to the gate. |  |

They exempted certain higher earners from rules on self-isolating after entering the country from those listed for quarantine didn't they? EDIT: It appears they didn't.
One rule for the rich, another for the plebs. Almost this government's motto. Surprised they haven't yet told the free school meals children "let them have cake". [Post edited 5 Nov 2020 21:17]
