The road noise in my part of the Ipswich-Shotley-Sudbury Golden Triangle is no different from a normal working day.
The last lockdown at least had the benefits of peace and quiet and fresh, clean air.
This one seems to be the worst of all worlds, independent retailers to close while the big tax avoiding corporations carry on, traffic, noise and pollution to remain, fun stuff cancelled.

I don't think that many independent retailers have closed either. Everything seems to be open except restaurants and pubs and even those are doing takeaways.
Here you can get your clothes altered, walk along and get your dog groomed and then pop into the Japanese knife shop to make sure you've got the best possible knife for slicing up the takeaway you've bought.
Hard to see how any of those except the restaurants are essential services. It's a joke because the businesses themselves decide if they are essential and of course every single one says they are.

This morning after walking back from dropping the kids at school I saw a Vape shop which had taped a sign saying "Open for the use of NHS staff and Key Workers" and The Christmas Shop at The Great White Horse Hotel is open, presumably due to the fact they have a couple of face masks racked next to the other tat...
