Agreed. Perhaps Downes for McGavin once fit unless the latter has really staked a claim. He’s done more against an in form full strength Portsmouth than Huws or Judge have done in far more chances. |  |

McGavin is more natural ‘anchor’. But in this 4-3-3 you can play McGavin deeper, Dozzell a little higher (relaxes some of the defensive responsibilities).
Or you can play (my preferred) 4-2-3-1. And play Dozzell and McGavin as you double anchors, would dictate play very well you’d feel, and will collect off the back four and LOOK TO FIND A PASS FORWARD! |  |

We have 2 players in the same 5 yard square and then a big gap or one of them would be asked to ay a role that doesn't suit them. We have enough trouble pushing the midfield up already | |

Alternately you've got two players who can come deep and collect the ball, making it harder for the other team to cut off our main out ball, the two of them could alternate between who steps further forward (to win the ball or to join the attack) and you free Bishop up to get in the penalty area more consistently. | |
