Really worries me about us is our complete lack of shape when we don’t have the ball. Once in the second half (or may have been in ET) we had three players around their player with the ball on the Portsmouth left, and a huge gap over on the Portsmouth right. Portsmouths shape was excellent first half. We just seem to all over the place. Makes us really panic when under the cosh and very, very vulnerable to attacking width and pace. I just don’t see how we are set up. Are we sitting deep, but tight? Pressing? Narrow? I actually think we are sometimes ok with the ball, but without it, we often look clueless and panicked. |  |
