For a multitude of reasons Joe.
They have large enough squads to cope, if they can't play 2 or 3 games in a week then there is something very wrong with their fitness levels etc etc

Why should the rest of the PL be fcked about because a few clubs want to play game outside of that competition.
One that only benefits that small group, and is as good as a closed shop.
Likewise clubs having to squeeze in 7 league games in December so as to allow players to be hauled round Europe for Mickey Mouse friendlies. |  | | |
