The most ridiculous part of this is that Raffensperger is feigning surprise to see Graham acting like a corrupt, craven, insult to democracy that he is.
Where has Raffensperger been for the last decade while his party have been evolving into this? I'll tell you where, cheering them on while it suited him to do so. There are NO decent Republicans left, people need to start accepting this as a reality. The GOP is a cancer on US politics.
The saddest thing is that Republicans don't even give a shît about their voters anymore than the Conservatives do in the UK. The voters are just a means to an end, that end being power.
Red states keep electing these people and then are surprised when their states are consistently at the bottom of the table in whatever metric you wish to evaluate them by. Clearly it's all the fault of those Democrats (who haven't been in power for years).
Do the people of Mississippi, for example, never stop to wonder why despite voting for Republican Presidents since 1980, voting for Republican Governors since 2000, and voting for Republican Senators since 1989, their state remains a horrendous example of how even in an advanced economy vast areas of the country can be consumed by absolute poverty and inequality?
