Let's hope so. Remember he was seen as a brighter prospect than Downes a couple of seasons back and at one time really was starting to be considered a proper part of a mid table championship squad

That's good to hear but have the club just given up on KVY? Was initially meant to be a 2 week knock during preseason but we've literally heard nothing about him in weeks.

Think he was mentioned in dispatches a couple weeks back. But in true ITFC style he’s no doubt due another setback before being ruled out for the season.

I remember thinking at the beginning of the 2017/18 season that out of Dozzell, Downes and Nydam, Downes was the one I saw the least potential in, seeming more like a low ceiling, high floor kind of player. I really, really liked what I saw of Nydam, it will be interesting to see how he does after basically two years without football.

The West Ham friendly when we had a midfield of Dozzell, Downes and Nydam left me the most hopeful I've ever been with Ipswich. Little did I know what was to come.

I survived Ipswich 0-0 Burton

Might as well add to my copy and pasting.

Would love to see him back. Still angry at Hurst for sending him out to Scotland to sit on the bench then bring in Tayo Edun on loan.

Ditto.

I’ve got a real soft spot for him after seeing his debut performances in 2017-2018. Lots of energy and workrate, some bite in the tackle and very positive passing forwards. Oh and a natural left-sided midfielder after years of trying to sort that out.

I hope for his and our sakes that he can get back into contention after a couple of relatively wasted years.

Same here. I know it was the tail end of a disappointing season but I thought he was easily our standout player in the last games of 2017-2018. By that stage he looked to be at home in the Championship.

Then for some reason we signed not just Nolan and Chalobah but Edun too and Nydam was shipped out on loan. At least Downes managed to fight his way through but seems a wasted opportunity especially as we got relegated by a mile anyway.

Indeed, I know Kieron has often said that he sees Tristan as of a similar type to him in that they could play anywhere on the pitch. He also isn't afraid to mix it when needed, hopefully the injury hasn't robbed him of that side of his game.
