I broke my iPhone and went to set up an old one in the draw until the insurance replacement arrives.
For some reason I didn't know what the passcode was for it and expected it to allow me to reset it by entering my iCloud password for example, but it didn't. I googled the solution and I was able to factory reset the phone my plugging it into my laptop. Did not ask for any passwords, just updated it and it was unlocked.
Surely this cannot be right as you could essentially have anyones phone with a passcode and unlock it? I can't believe it was that easy?
