Looks like a deal with the EU is getting very close (n/t) on 09:44 - Nov 21 by gordon
Lol at cooperative and mutual respectful Brexit. The leaders of the Brexit campaign are now running the UK government - did they hijack Brexit from themselves?
But they weren't at the time. I think we'd have had a different type of Brexit had Cameron done the decent thing, accepted the result and negotiated a deal.

No more no less. What boIIocks.
You spent nine months stomping around this board shouting down anyone who had the misfortune to engage with you on the subject of brexit, bellowing ‘project fear’ at anybody who suggested anything like the current situation might come to pass. Feebly attempting to put distance between yourself and the swivel eyed lions doesn’t cut it.
You are one of them. You own this.
Vindicated blue my arse.
It speaks. I thought you only communicated via down arrows.

So you missed the numerous posts in between where I have stated that I was wrong to vote leave, that the cooperative and mutual respectful Brexit with the benefits of opening immigration to more people from outside the EU has been highjacked by swivel eyed loons and nutters?
I mean, I posted all of the above several times over the past couple of years and you replied to some of those threads.
No I didn't miss them, and haven't dismissed them here either. I was just offering a suggestion as to why others in the thread might have seen your OP as celebrating.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Many people shared you belief that in theory Brexit was the answer. Sadly in the real world it should have been obvious that the prospect of meaningful negotiations with the EU were a pipe dream.
I liked the idea of Brexit, being free from the political side of union, going back to something like the common market we joined, but ended up voting to remain as thr Brexit I wanted wasn’t achievable.

No. Because as a man of Jewish heritage with a wife from a Jewish family, who was berated by certain posters a a smear merchant, had articles and photos about my then seven year old son shared about in a campaign to discredit me as some "far right pro Israel loon" and told he was using his family as a flag of convenience when I said that the Labour party was institutionally antisemitic and Corbyn was unfit to become the leader of our country, I felt vindicated by the EHRC report.
I don't have any personal or emotional investment to Brexit. I voted for it and in hindsight honestly wish that I hadn't. No more and no less.
You've gone in very hard here against what was just a lighthearted post.
What's the thing about your son being shared about? I've not read that on here.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Yes, this. This poster perfectly embodied the nationalistic hubris, arrogance and cognitive dissonance of Brexit for months. To now be saying, 'well my Brexit was mutually respectful', is a head buried deeply in the sand moment.

I really don't think the constant reviving of old rows on here is helping the general mood, so perhaps best not to go there. Suffice to say, aspects of the issue are disputed.

Apologies. I'd genuinely never heard that before. Glassers can PM or Facebook message me if he wants to tell me what happened there (well, his version).
Genuinely wasn't meaning to re-start a row.

Should have voted for Jezziah innit!

That's another lol, I'm afraid. The reason we're in this mess is because there never was a deal to negotiate that met the promises that were made in the Brexit campaign.

Did you really create that Vindicated account weeks before 'spontaneously' feeling the need to return in response to a thread I started?
No. Phil will confirm that Vincatedblue was set up a few minutes after I saw this post from you.
Not sure GB will be back... by BanksterDebtSlave28 Oct 2020 22:32 ....if this is all they come up with. No mention of anything institutional so far!

"The EHRC is not expected to make direct recommendations that disciplinary action should be taken against high-profile individuals such as Corbyn. But sources close to the inquiry said an earlier draft report found evidence of indirect discrimination in the operation of the party’s processes, which would be a breach of equalities law."
I had not intention of returning to TWTD and only did so after a brief conversation with Dollers on FB.
Had you not shot your load so prematurely and called me out then TWTD would be glassers free.

The refreshing thing about GB is he is the other poster on the board where no matter what happens to them it is played down

You really are a very angry man GB....glad you are back!
BTW...that quote still seems pretty accurate.

Without getting into the same stuff again.
But for the sake of clarity, I just want to say that whoever was using articles and photos about your family is out of order. Luckily, I was spared that campaign.

Thanks DK. As Phil says, it's not something that anyone wants to drag up again. I was purely pointing out to Dollers a number of reasons for the VINDICATEDBLUE log in.
Hopefully you and I can move on from the other issue as we did tend to agree a lot on football maters.
If it was up to me the subject would never be discussed on here again. I've found it personally draining.

TWTD is all the better for you being back GB.
God knows we disagree often enough, particularly over anything Brexit, but you often give a different perspective to the majority view on here and that can only be a good thing.

Yes, it’s been exhausting on the whole.
Unfortunately, for both of us, it’s not going anywhere as way too much political capital has been staked on it inside and outside the Labour Party.
