Liam Rosenior 12:03 - Nov 21 with 804 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Interested to see he is jointly caretaking with Rooney at Derby. I wonder if he would be interested in managing. I am sure Derby won't give him the opportunity longer term so would he be a better option for us than Dyer should the time come? I have always found Rosenior very sensible and knowledgeable in his TV coverage.

How do we know any specific individual would be better than Lambert? The answer is, we don't. However, everything I have seen of the two, I would rather take a punt on Rosenior. What about Dyer inspires your confidence more and what about Rosenior causes you greater concern?

I didn't suggest Dyer would be better, although he does have the advantage of knowing the club inside out. I have no specific concerns re Rosenior over and above any other untried manager. It was you who insinuated that Rosenior may be better than Dyer. I just questioned why you might think that.

Liam Rosenior on 12:44 - Nov 21 with 688 views | Basuco | Liam Rosenior started his coaching career in July 2019, Whereas Kieron Dyer started as an academy coach in 2014, assistant manager of U18 in 2018 and left in August 2019. He then spent time with other clubs looking at how they coach. He is now head coach of the U23's. Why on earth would he be a better option than Kieron? I hope Liam Rosenior goes on to be an excellent manager but would not him anywhere near a Town first team for a good few years. [Post edited 21 Nov 2020 12:45]

And I have answered why but your responses always try to pick holes and then run away from defending the holes you try to pick. To repeat: Rosenior has always impressed me with his knowledge and communication skills. Dyer has been very immature in the past. That is not to say he can't have grown up/changed/learned from his experiences but I am not sure I have seen evidence of it either way. In short, yes Dyer has more allegiance to the club but from my limited knowledge I expect Rosenior to be the more successful in coaching and possibly management.

Personally from what I have seen I think Rosenior understands the game well and in his varied positions will have built a large network of contacts. Having greater experience has not gone too well for us in the past. I still think we should have gone for Mowbray when Burley left. EDIT: Plus your date is wrong. He started coaching in 2018 at a Premier League Club. In comparison Dyer's experience has all been with our youth teams. [Post edited 21 Nov 2020 12:52]

Seems like you're looking for an argument. You've had my views. Thanks for your answer.

I've been playing football for 21 years longer than Jude Bellingham but I'm not better than him. I.e. some have it, some don't

I am looking for an argument? Lol. Please feel free to actually answer with a view other than "why do you hold that opinion?" while ignoring everything I have put.

Yep, I missed the year at Brighton as assistant U23 coach. But that does not change the fact that I really would not want to see anyone coming to Town as a manager/first team coach without any previous experience in that role. Paul Lambert is without doubt our best bet at this moment in time.

I didn't say that Dyer was better than Rosenior, so there's no view to give. They are both unknowns. I simply asked you a question, and you duly answered. Thanks.

I was talking about coaching experience, have you coached at League 1 or above at U23 or first team level?

But you quoted the stats wrong. Dyer's experience is only with us and at youth level (until very recently). Rosenior's has been at a Premier League club with their U23s and then with the first team in the Championship.

Always speaks really well whenever he's a pundit without doubt, I too have the gut feeling he could do well, but he'll need a lot of luck too, we know there is an awful lot of luck in this game, he could go to a League Two Club and do nothing, yet get the Derby job(doubt he will)and it could click from the off and he does well...

You also tend to make your own luck to a degree to. Mogga's phrase the day Burley got sacked was "cream always rises to the top". I would add as long as you don't keep shaking the bottle.

Ha yeah true, I suppose you need to be lucky with the fit, the players you inherit, injuries etc..time too to be able to build something, a lot of that is out of your hands, you have little time now, but I do like him must admit I'm with you there..
