In a bit of that mould where one of the old school managers like to portray this image of ‘thick skinned’ but the reality is very very touchy/sensitive.

Brenner questioned the performance, Lambert basically said it doesn't matter because we played well at Sunderland and Lincoln and lost. Brenner then asked for PLs opinion of McGavin, and PL said, "You must love him, you keep asking about him" or something. | |

He shouldn't be here. It's a ridiculous situation. He's rude because he's failed and still has to go through this crap week in week out, but he has some professional pride.

Lambert goes off on a tangent by saying his and Brenners standards a very different. Also stating ‘McGavin must be one your favourites because you always wax lyrical about him’.

Every time he speaks it really makes me hate that he’s the face of the club. Makes stupid excuses, gets unnecessarily antagonistic with Brenner/Watson/Phil, claims to not like talking about individual performances but always digs out a youth player for no reason.
His attitude absolutely stinks, comes across as genuinely unpleasant. |  |
