This passing out from the keeper... 08:59 - Nov 25 with 543 views | keighleyblue | I really don't understand the directive to pass the ball out from the back. As soon as we reach the halfway line there is nowhere to go. The opposition are all behind the ball, our midfield players don't offer enough options or movement off the ball to get the ball forward into dangerous positions. So often last night it was sideways passing on the halfway line followed by a speculative diagonal ball into the channel which occasionally results in a cross into the box which is usually to the keeper or cleared easily. The service for the forward player(s) is pathetic. We appear not to want to play through the midfield.
This passing out from the keeper... on 09:08 - Nov 25 with 518 views | Bent_double | That was only the 2nd game I've watched this season - I usually just listen to BBC Suffolk - what struck me was the number of times we had an attacking throw or corner, yet 5-10 seconds later the ball would be with Holy, or being passed between Chambers/Woolfie/McGuiness. Hull players and fans must still be laughing their socks off at how easy that was for them. I reckon Lambert has been given a 'pass completion bonus' incentive, or he's persuaded someone that those stats are more important that goals scored/conceeded.

This passing out from the keeper... on 09:09 - Nov 25 with 515 views | hype313 | It's the latest fashion craze, like Gilets were a few years ago. Obviously works well when you have players with the ability to implement that ideology.

This passing out from the keeper... on 09:13 - Nov 25 with 503 views | catch74 | Mick Mills kept saying something needed to be done with the midfield. McGavin by our centre backs, Judge up past Norwood, leaving Huws in acres of space. I felt sorry for Huws, isolated, not the player he was, less errors than previous games this season but just no impact. Bennetts - sounds like he was being coached continuously from the side lines, played like that as well - see that at U10’s - play station management - gifted player, often affects their natural decision making - if you’re going to play him let him play.

Latest being about 15 years ago. It's nothing new at all, and to see us struggling to pick it up is quite embarrassing. What a time to be a Towen fan. And 2020 in general can just eff right off as far as I'm concerned.

...that I have (which is diminishing by the day) this is pretty much true. Evans wants a more attractive "passing" style of football, with a less direct approach. He wants it across all levels to build an identity for the club and he has tasked Shambert with producing that. As most people are aware he also wants him to try and stick to a settled line up wherever possible to implement the style. This type of "directive" to senior management from people that own businesses is common, there is nothing out of the ordinary here. The problem occurs when you have senior management that either don't want to, or don't have the ability to implement your plan. That is the point at which the owner of the business needs to remove the senior management that are failing him. Lambert out.
