Joe Royle probably from a press conference perspective. George was a bit too guarded with the press, I think, although obviously I have a lot of time for him and enjoyed the interview I did with him -
Wembley 2000 Twenty Years Ago Today: The George Burley Interview29th May 2020 06:00 Today is the 20th anniversary of the Blues’ glorious 4-2 Wembley play-off final victory over Barnsley, so TWTD caught up with George Burley to see how he remembers the day and that period of his time as manager of the club.6
- around the time of the play-off anniversary earlier in the year. His time here was the best in my time doing TWTD.

if you're doing a sweepstake, i'll bagsie roy keane
Quite enjoyed Roy, he was generally pretty respectful of the media and on his day could be very funny. Pressers were about double the length of anyone else's and there was usually a decent story not just for the locals but also the nationals and the Irish market. All of us who are freelancers had an Irish paper or two we were sending stuff to. My joke at the time was that the fans were shouting 'Keano out!' but the journos were shouting 'Keano in!'.

Gotta say, slightly surprised at that, given Joe's views on the internet in general!
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Those comments were made about Manchester City forums at the time he was under pressure there, so not really a surprise he wasn't a big fan. Also, I'm not sure he really got the Internet.

Why did you have someone else's phone?
I had a plan to slip a phone into Roy's pocket at a later press conference and then ring it to see what his reaction was when he realised he was the one with the ringing phone in his pocket.
