The government defence of this is

"“The people on this plane are people who have committed very serious crimes, whether it’s rape, manslaughter, murder."

If that is true then I have no problem with it, in fact I'd be quite OK with extending it to our own home grown criminals if we could find somewhere to stick them.

So the question is, is it true? Are they deporting a bunch of hardened criminals or is it a lie to allow them to pursue a racist deportation policy.

Yeah I'm with you on this one, there isn't a lot of detail in this article about the people being deported.

For example:

Are they actually immigrants here being deported or at they British nationals who happen to have Jamaican parents?

What were the crimes?
