Kings of Anglia Podcast has some interesting tidbits 18:19 - Nov 30 with 8729 views | DublinBlue84 | Stuart Watson has pretty much gone out on a limb and says that the club are suffering from a bit of paranoia when it comes to how things have been for a while. Apparently the latest act is that they've now hired 24 hour security at Playford Road in order to prevent anyone laying any banners again which is surely a waste of m oney. Watson also spoke more strongly about first team photogate - he felt the approach taken by Stuart Taylor over photogate was a little bit heavy handed and they were trying to find out who told him more than anything else. The club also spent £100k on building a fence around Playford Road in the past in order to stop Bielsa style spying, which seems an awful lot of money. Andy Warren is also standing by that there have been a number of disagreements with Jim Henry and other members of the management team. Apparently Woolfenden liked a tweet about Lambert handling the youngsters badly as well. All in all not a happy camp and more proof that Lambert has to go but it also asks questions about the judgement of people higher up sanctioning decisions about security and fencing etc.

Kings of Anglia Podcast has some interesting tidbits on 20:43 - Nov 30 by PhilTWTD | Was the whole team for Lincoln. I wasn't aware the team was posted on Twitter at the weekend. I assume Jack Dorsey is going to be banned from Town press conferences. |
This is all just farcical Phil, end of! Fans guess teams left right and centre and yes maybe we have more Def Infos due to people's close connections. Ultimately did Lincoln get an upper hand from knowing what our team was? While PL and others would no doubt have a good insight into what the Lincoln team would be. It's absolutely ridiculous, everyone knows roughly what the setup and tactics of their opponents will be. The issue is we haven't a clue what we are trying to do and the players have lost confidence. If we had a better side, tactics and game plan we would have beaten them so this is PL punishing you for his own failings. Hint for other L1 teams: Just press Ipswich high up let us dither on the ball round the back and you will win.Or at least get a 0-0.

Kings of Anglia Podcast has some interesting tidbits on 18:22 - Nov 30 by Illinoisblue | The bit about building a fence to stop anyone spying on us... genuinely laughed out loud at that. What a fking club we are. Ineptitude, incompetence and general cluelessness running through whatever passes for ‘leadership’ at Portman Road. It’d be funny if it wasn’t so embarrassing and depressing |
Don’t need a fence with our predictable play, you could have Stevie Wonder as the opposition’s coach and he’d still be able to read our expected patterns of play. 🙄

Indeed, if he thinks Phil is the problem here then he's Bach-ing up the wrong tree.

Kings of Anglia Podcast has some interesting tidbits on 18:50 - Nov 30 by PhilTWTD | That's definitely right re Henry, I've heard that from several sources. I was going to run it on Friday but the club said the situation wasn't quite as I'd heard and to wait until they were ready to give comment. In the wider circumstances I held off and it was mentioned elsewhere before they'd got back to me this morning. Heard the same from other people over the weekend. The approach from Stuart Taylor regarding the team posted on here was the same, wanting me to give details of the poster, which obviously I can't do for data protection reasons. We had a further discussion on the way out of the ground on Saturday - I bumped into him and PL as I left and told them the matter was now public and had a chat about the matter without really getting anywhere - and he continued to ask for it. As Stu W says, they are paranoid, the implication being people are out to undermine them, as Stuart T said after Youngstersnotinphotosgate. The suggestion has been the same on the Lincoln team issue, particularly as they were told Lincoln had changed their team. Of course, as I've outlined, it was just a fan who had heard a bit of gossip and wanted to show they had inside info, nothing malicious at all. |
Stuart Taylor should be focusing his attention on who is giving out the information from the club rather than the poster on this forum. Nevertheless, it wouldn’t have mattered, Lincoln would’ve already known for themselves a week before the game what our starting XI was with PL’s rigid and unadaptable selection process.

The fact that he continues to ask for someone’s personal data, despite you explaining to him that you LEGALLY can’t give it to him, is hard not to read as a thinly veiled threat. Whether it’s aimed at you, as leverage to get you reinstated, or at the poster, to get them to reveal their source. It feels like a morally and legally questionable tactic. That pair really are making themselves - and our club - look increasingly pathetic, I must say.

Stuart Taylor should be focusing, along with Lambert, on training and making sure our players can implement a successful style of play rather than teams leaking. It’s not our biggest issue by far yet they’re treating it as though someone is publishing state secrets. They need to focus on what the real problem is, not concocted drivel in an attempt to prove that everyone’s out to get them. I’d tell them for free there are a load of fans looking to get them out of the club. [Post edited 1 Dec 2020 1:55]

Kings of Anglia Podcast has some interesting tidbits on 19:31 - Nov 30 by DublinBlue84 | I'd wonder how the club knew that, I'd assume through someone on the Lincoln side who have told them that is the case, which was probably, ironically, leaked itself. Like others have said the whole thing makes no sense. If the club feel that there is a problem with information being leaked to members of the public, then surely they need to tackle those who internally are leaking such information, rather than targeting someone innocent like Phil who has done nothing wrong whatsoever. It does scream of looking for an excuse to be honest. But this is damaging the club and the link between the supporters. All of the good work Lambert did at the start of his spell, reuniting the club and it's fans has been undone and probably by the time he's gone we'll be even more divided. |
I think his going would unite us more than anything else (I'd reach for my irony gauge at this point, but it broke months ago). As for the "spy-prevention measures" - even if the fence were solid, would a step ladder 2m outside it be illegal?

It's shocking, and downright unprofessional. Where's ME's leadership in this? He's coming across increasingly to me as a poor businessman who won't or doesn't know how to take control. The fact that anyone at the club would either stoop so low or be so ignorant of the law is gobsmacking - can anyone imagine this ever happening in any ITFC era before Evans bought us? Course not. As they have shown, they can’t even do the bit they are meant to be decent at because they aren’t especially good at that. They have no clue how to address our issues on the pitch. Perhaps they are diversifying into other employment fields? I wouldn't say they're particularly good at being detectives either, might have to try again chaps?! [Post edited 1 Dec 2020 6:59]
