Ed Sheeran 10:01 - Dec 1 with 1909 views | LeoMuff | Any chance he might rescue us from this purgatory ? Surely ME would sell for a nominal fee now to stop haemorrhaging £5m per season, and Ed’s now worth £200 m apparently We are a basket case currently but with a local owner , competent general manager, and a written off debt we could surely go places again.

And he's not even "THAT" rich considering what he'd be taking on

The only time Sheeran will get involved..... on 10:07 - Dec 1 with 1857 views | Bloots | ....will be to do a fund raising gig when we are about to go out of business. (and who'd blame him?)

If I had £200m I would certainly seriously consider it.

Ed Sheeran on 10:21 - Dec 1 with 1762 views | jayessess | He might be rich enough to buy us, he might even be rich enough to top up the budget in League One, but he wouldn't be anywhere near rich enough to give us a top half budget in the Championship. In general I think Evans leaving is likely to result in us having less money rather than more. The judgement is whether he's so incompetent that you'd rather be poorer.

That £200m would be gone within ten seasons if you really wanted to compete

Probably why you haven't got £200m

Ed Sheeran on 10:38 - Dec 1 with 1700 views | ketton_itfc | He’d be crazy to take the club on. The only chance of us evolving again is for Evans to give the club back to the fans with scaled investment over a set timescale and asking the club to pay the money back only if it’s in a position to pay. It needs to rebuild itself, being first and foremost at the heart of the community. We need itfc guys within the infrastructure. It will take a lot of hard work but I believe it’s still achievable in my lifetime.

The same Ecclestone who delayed the introduction of the Halo device because it would make the cars look less pretty? I'm not sure Romain Grosjean would act as a character witness for the "fit and proper person" test.

Ed Sheeran on 13:48 - Dec 1 with 1359 views | MonkeyAlan | Ed hasn't the sort of money to run a football club. Evans is way richer and he doesn't seem to be able to afford it either.

True. Although I wonder how much cheaper it would be with some decent decision making? We've wasted a lot of money and suffered the double whammy of a huge cut in income due to poor leadership.

He could be part of a consortium though. I'd consider it. You'd be an absolute legend if you turned this club around. He can mitigate his losses by churning out one extra bland pop hit each year. For some reason people seem to like them.
