Sums it all up, and written by a fan who's been more patient than most in his support of Lambert. Depressing that we have to fall away from the top 6 for Evans to act, why wait until getting us promoted is a very difficult challenge for the new man instead of acting now when we're not out of touch? It doesn't make sense. The trend here is a calendar year plus of really poor performances and results (2 years if we're being brutally honest), I don't know what more he needs to see.

It doesn't take a genius to work out that if you're adrift of the top 6 having been top after 6 games with a tally of 16 points that you are very much on a downward trend and that your form over a sustained period is much, much worse than is required to finish top 6. The likelihood of miraculously becoming a top 6 side again - better even to overcome the deficit - is small. Even if you don't want to use reason to reach that conclusion, just look at what happened last season ffs! It's staggering that he still cannot seen that Lambert is not the man to take us forward.

A well written article that highlights many of our flaws as a club. It's hard not to disagree that we are a club in rapid decline. We'll be in L1 for a while, just hoping that we don't sink any lower, but the way our owner runs us you can't rule that out.
