*checks bench* FIVE senior players. Three even came on and replaced the youngsters who supposedly “had” to play. More BS.

Also called 3 established first team players kids. 20, 21 and 22 year old wolfenden, Lankester and Dozzell.

Ok they are young pro's, but hardly kids making their debuts.

Charlton had a right back and a centre mid playing as both centre backs at the weekend. We have not really had to struggle anywhere. We have so many players for each position but he still moans the squad isnt big enough

Indeed, Woolfy has over 70 EFL appearances under his belt. Young, yes but inexperienced? Not really.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

At the beginning of the season he was moaning that we had a huge squad and some would have to move on.

I was willing Watson to ask,

"if the reason we shouldn't expect a result against some sides is because we have so many kids in the side, why in the last three games, have you replaced Lankester with Jackson, a senior player, and McGavin or Gibbs with Huws? And why does Chambers continue at right back, meaning a young central pairing when Donacien is available and can play on the right or in the centre?"

He seems to want it all ways, has very public pops at Dobra and Wolfie at the start of the season, now they can't be criticised. Not that I think they actually have been, have they?

Except by Lambert, "I think my standards are higher than yours" [Referring to McGavin]

Dozzell is now in his (I think) fifth season in and around the first team. Woolfie is in his third season of being a first team regular in the Football League having made his league debut in the Championship in the season before that. Lankester he can make more of a case for as he's not played many games, however he was playing regularly in the Championship for us around 2 years ago now. These aren't completely raw rookies by any stretch of the imagination.

Our senior players are hardly world beaters though are they, lets be honest! Some of the kids look better.

Quite, so why imply we shouldn't expect great performances when the kids are playing?
Kids by the way, who have been attracting attention from bigger clubs.
