Sol Campbell interviewed by Sunderland 14:26 - Dec 3 with 1269 viewsitfc1108

Living in hope that the Cowley's are still available when it is our turn to find a new manager.
No doubt, by the time Evans gets around to sacking Lambert, Cowley will have become Sunderland manager and been sacked, so he might yet be our manager soon!
Both basket case clubs, where the fans deserve better.

I didn't think of that!
It's terrible though, if he is only being interviewed because of this Rooney rule.
He did do a good job at Macclesfield.

Am I the only one not at all sold on the Cowleys? Maybe I better do some reading up on them?

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

I wouldn't get too bothered by it, Lambert isn't going anywhere.

i would've thought it's more down to him being a big name (the wayne-rooney rule?) than any rooney rule.

he did ok at macclesfield, but i don't think he's proven himself worthy of a step up yet

Def worthwhile investing some time to read up on them.

Pragmatic approach to football is the overarching takeaway I've got from them.

Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...

Given the urgent need to get promoted then that is a lesser consideration than it might have been at other times, although that was my concern previously. Others have made the case that they are capable of adapting their style and did to some extent at Huddersfield.
