He goes on a lot about the restraints in place, the lack of money etc. It's really worrying when you see what we do actually have in the squad compared to our rivals

Paul Lambert seems to feel under a lot less pressure this morning.... on 10:57 - Dec 4 by Herbivore | Just read the whole transcript and I can't quite believe what I'm reading to be honest. It's all over the place and just entirely detached from the reality of what's going on at the club and the reality of the league we are in. It's like he's wound the clock back 2 years and is repeating the same stuff he came out with when we were bottom of the Championship with a comparatively small budget. The talks about playing the youngsters, but up until 2 games ago he wasn't doing so. We've got one of the oldest sides in the league. And he's talking about bringing in more senior players in January too, whilst also saying there's no money. They must think we're all stupid. |
From Evans' missive, I think it's 100% certain they think we're stupid and delusional.

Paul Lambert seems to feel under a lot less pressure this morning.... on 11:05 - Dec 4 with 357 views | clive_baker | It's for that reason that I'm in some way sympathetic to ME more recently. In the Championship we underinvested and ultimately got what we deserve IMO. MM papered over a lot of cracks with a pragmatic but effective approach and we really over indexed for a while. He's clearly a bloke people liked playing for, and don't get me wrong I don't suppose the Waghorn's and Garners of the world were playing for free but convincing players like that to move down from Glasgow isn't easy, and who they're playing for is a huge part of it. He was a wily old fox was Mick. When he went a lot of those frailties were exposed and the model we were operating wasn't sustainable, the penny pinching and corner cutting took its toll. These last 18 months are slightly different though. Relegation has meant that we're one of the better funded sides in the division, better supported, deepest pockets, biggest names etc and a club that really should be able to out muscle our rivals. On paper our squad should've been good enough for top 4 last season, and it's for that reason that you have to question the manager. He's not getting the most out of the resources he has available to him. Last 42 games, we've lost more than we've won. Explain to me how we're finishing below Gillingham last season and that's somehow acceptable? The club's a joke. [Post edited 4 Dec 2020 11:10]

Imagine though if we had a normal-sized squad with all these injuries. We'd be fielding the u15s by now
