Once Lambo’s taken us to the title? A bit silly?

I'll concede that if we'd played against 10 men in all of our remaining fixtures last season we might have made the play offs. That, however, seems really unlikely doesn't it? And because we'd been on such a poor run and were adrift having played more games than our rivals we needed to hit automatic promotion form over the remainder of the season and we still could have missed out. If you think it's likely we would have gone from the form we were in to sustained automatic promotion form then good for you, but it strikes me as utterly delusional. As is your claim that Hull weren't much better than us, they strolled to a 3-0 win and we didn't lay a glove on them.

I understand this is going nowhere, but just be happy that we won. Lets be honest that's what we all want, I have followed ITFC for over 50 years and have seen the ups and experienced the downs, so I am happy to see my team win against 10 or 11.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and lets hope we win on Saturday.

I'll continue hoping we sack the charlatan and get someone in who is actually capable. Winning is better than losing of course, but scraping past out of form 10 man Plymouth doesn't paper over the cracks.

We ultimately want Town to win and to keep winning sure.

But don't we also care who represents us? That's part of what it's all about.

There was a time you got some respect for being a Town fan wherever you went.

Well, almost everywhere.

Nope, much as I love that to happen Lambert needs to change his behavior, get more tactically aware and inspire this team.

Our biggest downfall is the fear in the players we go into games expecting to lose. He has to change that. But, can't see that happening.

Rotherham did worse than us 3-4 years ago and came straight back up. I repeat, in recent years only Bolton with a points deduction and nearly going out of business have done worse than us. That's inexcusable.

When we came down we didn't have the upheaval of a change of management or ownership. We didn't lose key players. In fact, Lambert was backed to offer James Norwood twice as much as Championship side Charlton. How many League 1 sides spent £500k on a player like we did with KVY? The squad is and was plenty good enough to at least seriously challenge for promotion. Our failure to do so is abject and Lambert should be long gone.

We weren't the only team to pay a fee for players, and the one we did, as you reference, played nine games.

Is that the entirety of your counter-argument?
