No heart today. Disgraceful performance at home. Yes Lamberts tactics no doubt do not help and I want him gone but the players today had no desire to get up and down the pitch, win aerial balls, win tackles. Towards the end a few of them got silly bookings to try and fool us in to looking like they’re putting it in.
How many times the ball was kicked out of play or we had a chance to break and wandered forward; past sideways or lost possession I lost count of.

I would say that any success would require those 3 senior players playing better than they are capable of. Bottom line is that the team we are presently able to put out is nowhere near good enough to go up. Long term we may benefit from the youngsters getting an extended chance, but it will cost us this season. | |

I do think we tend to hype up our younger players more than we should. We've often seen a young player burst onto the scene, have a good month or two at the end of a season when we have nothing to play for then fade away and end up playing non league a few seasons later.
Not saying that will happen with Lankester but I think expectation around him should take into account he hasn't actually played much football. That and he is playing in a god awful team. | | | |

Not seen much from Lankester yet to indicate there's a first team player at League One level there, although he hasn't been helped by being played in various positions in a generally awful team, and publicly criticised by manager.
Can't really understand why Dobra and El Mizouni weren't ahead of him in the pecking order from the start of the season though. |  | | |

As much as I like dozzel as he has the capacity to provide that spark I think when the going gets tough like today he needs to step up. He’s not a kid anymore and as talented as he is for both his own career and the success of Ipswich he needs to do more than sit next to the centerbacks and spread the play. Needs to be getting in and beyond the final third ( when you’re chasing a game 2-0 down at home ).
I understand him playing that deep laying playmaker role when we are in control of a game or are at full strength. But he should have been stepping up today, as the other seniors should have. | | | |

Judge pretty poor but did more than Lankester who didn’t do a thing in reality.
Senior players have regressed in recent weeks, but they aren’t good enough to drag a team playing totally the wrong shape and style for the personnel available out of this funk.
Just look at the striking situation today, the manager doesn’t have a clue.
My wife came to the game today, she doesn’t watch much football - her comments were “why do they keep doing short passes, and why do they do it so slowly, it’s all sideways.” This was within 15 minutes of kick off |  |
