If you had an amnesty on 14:24 - Dec 13 with 734 views | The_Romford_Blue | If the club was to fold (and tbh that really wouldn’t be that bad a thing rather than the next 60 years being a misery of notbingness), I’d not support anyone. Wouldn’t be the same would it. Atm I feel like I hate Ipswich. But they’re still my club to hate.

If you had an amnesty on 22:20 - Dec 12 by Hullblue | Leicester. My mum’s from that part of the world and her brother tried his best to get me to support them. Was even a mascot for them once. But it was always Town and always will be. Was glad when they won the league but only in the same way every other neutral was. I wish I could bring myself to feel a bit more strongly about them, because even if you discount the title season as a fluke, they’re an example of how well it can go if you consistently make good decisions. In a parallel universe that’s Town. Ah well. |
As a side note, Leicester were relegated from the premier league alongside us, they went into administration alongside us. Since then the trajectories of the two clubs have diverged significantly.

If you had an amnesty on 09:01 - Dec 14 with 554 views | hype313 | Couldn't do it, my Dad, Grandad, uncles etc are all Arsenal due to them all hailing from North London, my Dad spent his youth in the Clock end, but none of them tried to persuade me, quite glad really as they have turned into all the others, plastic clubs with plastic fans, also The Emirates is a soulless bowl. If Ipswich were to fold, I would just concentrate my efforts on my continuation for supporting Wasps, although that's been made harder by the relocation to Coventry.

If you had an amnesty on 09:14 - Dec 14 with 548 views | fergalsharkey | I feel as though my club has already gone. Marcus Evans a businessman who has openly said he would sell the club quite happily to anyone offering some money, there is no ambition to improve any facet of the club at all. Management- clueless journeymen who I have no respect for and have plainly shown why they have been failures everywhere they have been ( 1 season at Norwich apart) Players- injury strewn kids who are not good enough hence constant injuries, or over the hill wage collectors who are hobbling towards retirement. There is no club anymore.

If you had an amnesty on 09:23 - Dec 14 with 539 views | itfcjoe | I wouldn't - it's the same when people say follow a non league team....unless they are local what is the point? Ipswich is still my local team, when I was at uni in Southampton I watched them a lot and 'followed' them, but would only go to their games when they didn't clash with an ITFC one that I would tune into Radio Suffolk for. It's Ipswich Town, or nothing.

Yup - that’s what makes it tough to take. Similar-sized clubs with similar recent history up until about 10 years ago. Thing is, I used to be envious of the clubs who were really well run and therefore more successful than us, but now even the one-time basket cases are well ahead: Leeds, Sheffield United, even fcking Coventry. They’ve each been through crises of their own, then recovered and shot ahead, while we’ve been making a slow and painful descent into the crap. I guess the positive to take from that is that there is a way back - but none of those teams had to deal with the salary cap, of course. Time to get our act together.

If you had an amnesty on 10:04 - Dec 14 with 499 views | Kropotkin123 | Obviously I wouldn't. But if Ipswich never existed I'd either be a Tottenham or Leyton Orient fan, given my family history of supporting them. I generally hope my friend's teams do well, so was pleased to see Villa stay up last season and like to see Everton do well.

If you had an amnesty on 10:05 - Dec 14 with 498 views | JammyDodgerrr | Right now, it would probably be Spurs. I rate so many of the players, Son, Kane, Lloris etc and rate Jose as a manager. Plus that stadium.
