How disappointed will you be if we lose tonight? 13:29 - Dec 15 with 6234 views | itfcjoe | I genuinely don't think I'll particularly care, and think it may actually be a good thing to expedite Lambert's exit. Sad times, haven't felt like this since Jewell was here on his last legs - although was going that way before the ridiculous 5 year contract was signed.

I think I'll watch, if only to hopefully see his last game in charge. I have no confidence we will take anything from the game.

If he came out with something different tonight, say 442 or a 4132 or something then at least that would be some indication that he can see there is a problem and that he is willing to try to address it. People might be willing to give him some time to turn it around if there were any green shots. The problem is he is stubborn and that won't happen so people have had enough. SB
How disappointed will you be if we lose tonight? on 14:17 - Dec 15 with 3628 views | Bluefish | I'm not sure a win, draw and defeat makes a lot of difference. I just want to see a new style of football where we attack with purpose and don't have isolated players.

How disappointed will you be if we lose tonight? on 14:23 - Dec 15 with 3617 views | LankHenners | If it meant he went I'd happily take a loss as points-wise we're still 'in it' even if we're miles off quality-wise so a new guy could come in and recover the situation in time for us to push up to the top. The problem is a loss (and any subsequent negative results) will probably only lead Lambert to strengthen his case to Evans that the injuries are really hurting so he needs time for them to come back or to use January to get some bodies in. The worse we do the more Lambert will point fingers at anyone but himself, and sadly it seems Evans will side with him when he does it.

How disappointed will you be if we lose tonight? on 14:44 - Dec 15 with 3548 views | clive_baker | Like you, a big part of me wants it to go t1ts up. It'll be long term damaging to the club not to go up this season, but I don't think we deserve it, as a club. I almost don't want ME's ineptitude to be rewarded. 'Careful what you wish for' he said, yeah well perhaps he'll be eating those words come the end of the season for showing so much faith in an evidently busted flush.

Well, basically my view is that.... on 14:47 - Dec 15 with 3531 views | Bloots | ....if a defeat tonight meant that he was gone, I'd take it with open arms. But without that guarantee I still can't force myself to ever want us to lose. I'll be wearing my big flowery booing trousers tonight though. Lambert out.

I still want us to win and not quite reached the stage where I was devastated and annoyed that Jewell managed to beat Barnsley and keep his job for a few more weeks.

The bewilderment of where we are now as a club ....it’s heart breaking. No exaggeration it’s fooking heart breaking

How disappointed will you be if we lose tonight? on 13:45 - Dec 15 by hype313 | How the papers haven't turned yet is beyond comprehension, week in week out they are saying the same things, they need to grow a pair and reflect the feeling of the fans. |
I'm not sure who it is that makes the call, think they feel burned by how the Magilton one played out where they went a bit early

I don't think anyone could blame them for going early now though! it's 6 months too late IMO

How disappointed will you be if we lose tonight? on 14:08 - Dec 15 by StokieBlue | That just proves that they have been consistently rubbish for a long time given their league position which is bottom of the league having played more games that the other teams. Even a recent improvement hasn't moved them off the bottom. We should be beating the team who are bottom of the league having played more games regardless of what the form table says. If we can't then it just highlights the issues. SB |
Half the team will be kids again. It will not be anything like our true first team so cut PL some slack. And yes losing will hurt like hell if it happens.

Why should we cut someone slack who saw us relegated without a fight and then saw up limping to a mid table finish last season? I really want to understand this point of view because I just don't see it.

9 of Saturday's starting XI were first team regulars.

with our crazy long injury list half the team will be kids again so it could happen. And yes it would hurt like hell of course. imo the injuries are a big reason to give PL the benefit of the doubt.
How disappointed will you be if we lose tonight? on 16:04 - Dec 15 with 3287 views | JammyDodgerrr | I will be as hurt as always - despite the failings of the manager, i never, ever want us to lose and i certainly wouldn't be willing it. Burton may be bottom but they are no pushovers - they tore apart Charlton just a few weeks ago and i wouldn't be surprised to see the same here.

Really? How do injuries explain the drop off last season or the results over the last 40 games? Seems the propaganda push is working on some. SB
