The sound of the crowd's anticipation as Bennetts goes through on goal 16:58 - Dec 16 with 965 viewsSteve_M

It's the best thing about the highlights, one very clear thing that's been missing this season*:

Also, for the second goal we had five players in the box. We were doing that early season and look what happened, Huws' run is good too.

And, just as McGuiness gives the ball away Brenner is talking about how well he is playing.

* that isn't down to ME or PL.

The crowd sounded really lively and enthusiastic and appreciative those first ten minutes. Responding to our more direct and positive approach. If we could ever sustain pressure and put teams away it would really calm down some of the hysteria.

The players clearly trust Hawkins to put himself about enough for them to pick up a flick on or loose ball but we don't do it enough or even that well on a regular basis, although that comes down to coaching. Both goals an example of that even if Burton made a right meal of dealing with the 2nd one.

If PL is going to continue wanging on about the injuries then it should be obvious that a temporary, at least, solution is right there. Not to push this into a 'Lambert Out' thread but it's something a manager like Cowley would spot and take advantage of. As it is, it'll continue that any half-decent moments look like they come about by accident more than design.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Interesting to see that, for the second goal, Burton's 21 all but dragged Hawkins all the way from the 6-yard line right into the goal.

You'd like to think we'd have been awarded a penalty had the goal not been scored. But then you remember that this is L1.

....our winner came about after a big "mealy" in the area.
