But Peterborough borders onto Tier 3 areas to the North in South Kesteven and South Holland
There isn't anywhere within 50 miles of Ipswich which is in Tier 3, so to draw a tiny circle around it and leave Babergh, Mid Suffolk, East Suffolk, West Suffolk, Tendring, Colchester etc as Tier 2 just wouldn't work
The only area singled out like that in the country is Portsmouth, but that is coastal and all the surrounding areas have gone into it.
Ipswich can't be done without bringing Suffolk in with it, because 'Greater Ipswich' is 3 different authorities that would all need to go with it |
