Sainsburys saying that they are running out of veg.

Quite like the idea of a Ginsters for Xmas dinner.

As quoted by SkyNews (yep, sorry and all that):

Sainsbury's said there would be shortages on products including lettuce, salad leaves and cauliflowers if transport ties with the continent are not restored quickly.

However the supermarket said it had "plenty" of products needed for "the Great British Christmas lunch".

I went to Tesco this morning to do the food shop, back to work tomorrow until the weekend, it was as quiet as I have ever seen it, you wouldn't believe it was a few days before Christmas. Roads were very quiet too for London rush hour.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

If people are panic buying beef fillets may I ask you to stop immediately. I don't want this to turn into a 'Jingle All the Way' scenario, with me looking for my beefy Turboman.

The big Sainsbruys near me was packed at 10am - no queue to get in, just completely packed. On the bright side, they had tons of everything - no shortages.

Just got back from Copdock Tesco, first food shop since isolation finished.
Queued for maybe 15 minutes, still a few knobheads about, enough on the shelves atm, but you just know some people are going to be selfish.
Judging by the piled high trollies, there must be some large numbered families about

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.
