would make sense, 12 months would make more sense. Both us and the EU are in deep economic doo-doo over covid so why not keep the status quo until we're all a bit more settled? there's estimated 700k EU jobs riding on the deal... |  | | |

I don't disagree, especially as we're seemingly close to a deal that's in everyone's interests. If feels somewhat silly to 'crash out' based solely on running out of time vs a fairly arbitrary deadline. Business needs certainty, but if both sides came forward and said we'll maintain the status quo for now given the Covid mess and take stock when things are clearer, I don't think a single person would object. | |
