Sounds really bad out there, just read that hospitalisations are 29% higher in the East now than they were at the height in April and that Christmas day will be the highest day yet for numbers in hospital.

Over a quarter of our capacity at [redacted] is occupied by covid positive people right now.
For context, at 8 this morning that's 111 our of 420 beds.
At peak in April, we were hitting 40-50.

That's not how it works. You made the assertion that the science was wrong so you have to back that up with evidence.
Lockdown clearly does work, take any country which has implemented one and look at the cases straight after lockdown in comparison to a few weeks later.
The latest variant of C19 has a natural R of between 3.2 and 3.8. The numbers we are experiencing are after lockdown with an R value of between 1.1 and 1.3 (higher in London). Take some time to let that sink in.

Probably better to cite Australia and New Zealand who actually locked down. Not the half-ar$ed lockdown that Boris and his lot have tried over the last few months. As in proper, not allowed to leave your house, nobody allowed to leave the country, quarantine in a hotel for 14 days if you come in to the country or cross into another county/state, none of this bubbles BS.
If only the UK was an island with no land borders so they could have done something similar...oh!!!
