John Terry as manager anyone? 00:14 - Dec 27 with 4276 views | kizaitfc | I have previously thought we need an experienced manager who knows how to get a team defending and attacking effectively. But now think maybe a gamble could be what we need. Played under some great managers, currently working with a very good manager at Villa and seems to want to try his hand at managing as I believe he has been mentioned for Derby job. Question would be would he come to league 1? Probably not unfortunately

John Terry as manager anyone? on 00:45 - Dec 27 with 3584 views | JDB23 | I was thinking about who could potentially be a realistic manager that is completely under the radar and Gareth Barry came to mind. Vast experience at the top level, played under many managers, played for teams in all kinds of situations and must have a tonne of contacts. Not sure if he is even looking to go into management but think if someone wanted to take a gamble they could do a lot worse.
John Terry as manager anyone? on 01:01 - Dec 27 with 3570 views | JimmyJazz | I would see the problem for any well known player looking to step into management in League 1 being the wage cap, it suits someone who would be confident they can coach the players and youngsters that come with a current squad.

He is not a human being I would want anywhere near our club. If you saw the recent Anton Ferdinand programme on television you will know why. Also I can see no footballing reason for appointing him.
John Terry as manager anyone? on 07:45 - Dec 27 with 3387 views | 26_Paz | Interesting one. Was clearly a good leader as a player. Has some coaching experience now. As you say a gamble but could be just what we need.

Pros for Terry - more of a natural leader, connections in the top flight for loans etc Pros for Dyer - knows the club, knows the young players coming through (which lets be honest any manager will work closely with as we won’t sign many people) Both lack a little experience ... either would be a gamble but one I’d happily take right now!

John Terry as manager anyone? on 08:52 - Dec 27 with 3266 views | TieDyedIn95 | He'd walk into a job in the Championship and we couldn't afford anywhere near what he'd want in terms of wages. A name like that is going to want a club with some resources to play with, like Lampard had at Derby he's not going to want to come to Ipswich and be forced to play academy products from a system that's not produced any top quality players since the early 2000's and a group of senior pros who were arguably part of the worse side to ever play in the Championship. Until we fix that we're going to be barrel scraping for managers for years to come, Evans will appoint Dyer, it wont go well and we'll be told it was all our fault.

John Terry as manager anyone? on 12:50 - Dec 27 with 2959 views | Parky | There is near to no chance John Terry would leave Villa as assistant to come manage in League One. I would bet on him getting a Championship gig soon, if he’s to leave at all. Somebody who has impressed me with their analysis and intelligence recently is Jermaine Jenas. Not sure if he’s even done any coaching, or interested in managing. - Just somebody I have been impressed with the way he speaks.

Think he’s firmly on the TV route. Even presenting some no football stuff now, don’t think he’s interested
