Found out about the death of Jim McLean, manager of Dundee United, on the Guardian Football Weekly podcast.

Great read and it was interesting to remember all those players he developed. Great to think that he done that without the millions or billions that clubs gamble nowadays. Very similar to Ipswich, (pre Marcus Evans era).

Saw him play for Kilmarnock in late 60s. Good player. Worked wonders at Dundee Utd.

Well that was a great read over my M & S mini hand-dressed Cromer crabs. Must unearth more of Neil Forsyth's articles. He writes brilliantly.
